Biography

My name is Mikitle Boyto. I was born in South Ethiopia, Amaro  Workale Keble in 1984 to a Christian family. The first and most important book in my life is the Bible. I don’t know the exact date when I started growing spiritually by reading the Bible, praying, singing worship songs, or sharing the word of God with others. In my family there is one principle: “a person who is a member of this family should be a servant of God”. Each of us are expected to act as a servant acts by serving God with our whole hearts. Because of this, my whole family is very passionate about pouring our lives out for the sake of his Kingdom.  I’m thankful everyday for the great, God-fearing family that I have been blessed with. Praise God!

Vision

Starting from the time when I was accept a vision I starting and experiencing the life which purposefully and satisfactory life.

From 1998to 2000, there was some preaching at a local church called “The End of the Age is Coming Soon so Repent of Your Sins”.  They said that if I was a sinner, I could not be a part of God’s kindom. This scared me because after analyzing my life, I saw sin in almost every part of my daily life.  They told me that I could only come to God’s Kindom if I was completely sinless.  No matter how hard I tried, I could not even make it one day without finding this toxic sin in my life.

For three years, I was anxious and worried.  If these teachings were true, I would spend eternity in Hell apart from God because I could not live this sinless life that they were preaching.  I was scared.  I was nervous.  I felt so helpless and cried out to God to show me the truth.

In 2000, when I was in 8^th grade, I decided to help my family and neighborhood by watching over the all the neighborhood goats during our two week semester break. On February 12, 2000 at 2:30 in the afternoon, I was reading the Bible from Romans chapter 9 and 10 as I watched over the goats. From chapter 9 I understood the following things:

1.      How we are sinful and against God.

2.      How God is patient with sinful man “God unfailing Love”

From chapter 10: 9-10, I finally got the answers to my questions about eternal life. After reading these two verses I was amazed and asked God what it was really saying. Suddenly I saw a bright light and fell to the ground. At that moment I understood that the only way to have eternal life is by putting my faith in Christ’s death and resurrection, by confessing by mouth and believing in my heart that He is Lord. I accepted Him as my one true Savior and immediately became a child of God.  The funny thing about it was that I was actually leading at my church and teaching a Sunday School class.

In that moment I understood God’s loves for all people, Christian or non Christian.  They both are meant for salvation through Jesus Christ. For the Christian, He wants to see them growing up in maturity and being more like Christ. And for the non Christian, He wants them to hear the gospel of salvation (Christ).

So I decided to sign the following contract with God to confirm in writing what God has reveled to me.

O Lord! As I understood today, your purpose is to save all the people of the world. So I give my life today for this same purpose. Please be faithful to help me until my college graduation, then I will serve you full-time in the area of ministry (Discipleship and Evangelism) you reveled me today.
